Goodbye Bafana

We have seen a movie, called Goodbye Bafana. It’s about an police officer, called Gregory, who moved to an island. He should take care for Nelson Mandela in the prison, because he knew Mandela’s language. He knew the language because when he was little, he had a friend who was from there Nelson Mandela came from. He was also dark-skin, like Mandela.

After a while did Gregory get close to Nelson Mandela. When Nelson Mandela’s wife had birthday, gave Gregory a chocolate to Mandela so he could give his wife a present because she had birthday. But some other police officer found out that he gave him a chocolate, and then they get very angry at him. They didn’t do something about it at the police-station, because they needed Gregory so much. When he was out a night on a pub, someone walked to Gregory and punched him very much because they was so angry at him because he was kind to Nelson Mandela.

His family was also very deception, because of him. They didn’t like that he became friends with Mandela. Gregory had a wife, and two children. Once did Gregory’s wife get a phone call, and they told her that they would kill everyone in the family. She became very scared, but Gregory said that he would take hand of it.

They moves Nelson Mandela to a new place. They asked Gregory if he would be with him, and then get a higher position. He and his wife decided that he should say yes to the job. So he got the position, and I think Mandela was thankful for that.

After Gregory’s son was out a night, he get killed. Gregory could take hand of it, because it was so many who wanted to kill them. The mother cried so munch, it was such a tragedy.

In the prison did Mandela live with other prisoners, and they had a radio. Once did Nelson Mandela and the other prisoners listen to the radio, and listen to Mandela’s child speaking to the world. She told the world that the black people was valuable, just as much as the white people.

After his daughter speech, did Nelson Mandela come out of the prison. Everyone was so happy. He was in prison in 27 years, and now he was finally out. When he came out, he became the first dark president. The people was so pleased. Gregory and his wife was also very happy about it.                 

My opinion of the movie is that it was a little boring, because it wasn’t so much action. But it was okay, and I think I could watch it one more time with my friends. The main thing why I didn't like the movie so well is because it was very much about Gregory's family, and that was a little boring. I like the movie when it was about Nelson Mandela.
